Dancehall artiste Mr Vegas visited the victim in court and apologised on her behalf, saying “I know how hurt you are” and urging her to forgive. He was also joined by members of the Clarks Town community. The 57-year-old dancehall icon says the people who are attacking the woman in the viral video are “selfish” and have no respect for others. He also called on the authorities to do a thorough investigation of the incident.
He said he hopes the case will teach others to be more mindful of their actions, especially in front of children. “You don’t want to be the reason for any type of harm or injury to anyone, especially a child,” he said. “It’s important to always watch your actions and make sure you don’t cause any harm or hurt.” He said the woman in the video has been released on bail. The case will return to court next month. The alleged infringement of the Immigration Act was committed at Sangster International Airport on January 20.

The store operator then allegedly grabbed the child by her collar and slapped her across the face, while throwing Jamaican expletives at her. The teen then ran out of the store. Pan later reported the incident to the police, and was arrested that same day. When she appeared at the Trelawny Parish Court on Wednesday, no evidence was offered against her and she was freed.
